Legal Aid Services: What We Don’t Do
We do not take criminal or traffic cases. If you were charged with committing a crime, you will want a lawyer to represent you. If you cannot afford an attorney, you may be eligible for a public defender, and can ask for that with the court.
Here is contact information for public defender’s offices.
Hamilton County Public Defender: 513 946-3700 or http://www.hamiltoncountypd.org.
Butler County: 513.887.3540 or www.publicdefender.butlercountyohio.org.

Highland and Warren Counties: There are no public defender’s offices. The courts in those counties appoint an attorney for eligible defendants.
